The Wiccan Rede

Bide within the Law you must, in perfect Love and perfect Trust.
Live you must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give.

For tread the Circle thrice about to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be said in rhyme.

Light of eye and soft of touch, speak you little, listen much.
Honor the Old Ones in deed and name,
let love and light be our guides again.

Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out the joyful tune.
Widdershins go when the moon doth wane,
and the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak then your heart's desire seek.

Heed the North winds mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the Wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.

When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss you on the mouth.
When the wind whispers from the West, all hearts will find peace and rest.

Nine woods in the Cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Birch in the fire goes to represent what the Lady knows.

Oak in the forest towers with might, in the fire it brings the God's
insight. Rowan is a tree of power causing life and magick to flower.

Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland.
Hawthorn is burned to purify and to draw faerie to your eye.

Hazel-the tree of wisdom and learning adds its strength to the bright fire burning.
White are the flowers of Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility.

Grapes grow upon the vine giving us both joy and wine.
Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen.

Elder is the Lady's tree burn it not or cursed you'll be.
Four times the Major Sabbats mark in the light and in the dark.

As the old year starts to wane the new begins, it's now Samhain.
When the time for Imbolc shows watch for flowers through the snows.

When the wheel begins to turn soon the Beltane fires will burn.
As the wheel turns to Lamas night power is brought to magick rite.

Four times the Minor Sabbats fall use the Sun to mark them all.
When the wheel has turned to Yule light the log the Horned One rules.

In the spring, when night equals day time for Ostara to come our way.
When the Sun has reached it's height time for Oak and Holly to fight.

Harvesting comes to one and all when the Autumn Equinox does fall.
Heed the flower, bush, and tree by the Lady blessed you'll be.

Where the rippling waters go cast a stone, the truth you'll know.
When you have and hold a need, harken not to others greed.

With a fool no season spend or be counted as his friend.
Merry Meet and Merry Part bright the cheeks and warm the heart.

Mind the Three-fold Laws you should three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow wear the star upon your brow.

Be true in love this you must do unless your love is false to you.

These Eight words the Rede fulfill:

"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Islamic Jeans

A company in Italy has begun selling "Islamic Jeans" made especially for Muslims. According to a report, these jeans are made for muslims who need greater comfort and flexibility during prayer sessions. The Italian company, based in the city of Udine, has been marketing the trousers as "the jeans of choice for Islam," according to the Al Quds Web site. Al Quds Jeans are manufactured in Pakistan. They are baggy and have a high waist to allow freedom of movement during the repeated kneeling for Islamic worship. The jeans are made of traditional blue denim, have five pockets and are especially tailored for use in the mosque.

... I have no comment. Ill have to think about this one and get back to you. But tell me what you think about it. If you are a muslim would you buy them? And what's the difference between Islamic jeans and regular baggy, high waist jeans? Do you really need five pockets?

Feelin Home Sick

Being away from home made me realize how much I've grown up. I've been in Brisbane for only 3 months and to be honest it wasn't what I excepted. I wasn't really happy in the beginning and just wanted to leave and get out. But its the only chance I have to prove to my family that I want to study and I want to build a future for myself. So I put my head up and challenged everything that came my way. I had to be strong to myself and I had to understand that life isn't the same as it is back home.
I miss it though. I miss the love and the comfort of being around people who care about you and will always be there for you.
Even though I have friends here it's still not the same. It's really hard for me to explain all the people I miss so much back home. The people who were always by my side and were always there to listen to my stupid problems. Sometimes when I'm feeling lonely I just look at all the pictures I have and just remember all the good times I had with them. Sometimes I just laugh out loud when I remember all the funny moments.
I'm going back home soon and to be honest I cant wait. Once I reach that shitty airport and walk out that plane and feel the heat and humidity, that's when I'll know I'm finally home.

****************************************
To my mum, my friends and the love of my life, I just want to thank you all for being there for me even when I was a pain in the ass. You've all made me realize how important it is to make something of yourself and if it wasn't for all of you I wouldn't be where I am today. Love you and miss you all like crazy.

Being Riped Off

I've been living in Robertson for 3 months now and I'm not impressed at all. Judy, The land lord is such a gold digging, conniving B*%@$. I haven't met one person yet who doesn't agree with me.
I used to live in a 3 bedroom house, with 3 other people, with aircon and had a back yard for only $150 dollars a week. But it was so noisy and so many people were in that house everyday and that just ticked me off I decided to move out. In the same compound but in another house. I actually just wanted to live on my own. So I got a studio apartment that's a size of a box and I'm paying $200 a week $200 A WEEK! Its ridiculous! I've taken some pictures so you can get a good idea of what I'm talking about.
The only reason why I'm still living here is cause it is close to Uni.

Look into my eyes
What do you see?
A reflection of youself fantasizing that you were me.
Look at my hand
Tell me whats on your mind.
Could it be that my skin is so pretty or that my diamonds could blind?
Look at my body.
Tell me what you're thinkin about now.
Is it that I'm an African Princess and your, your just a clown?
Just look at me fool
You could never compete.
When it comes to beauty and glamour.
You, I will always defeat.

***********************************
When I wrote this I was pretting pissed off. Sometimes I wonder what the best way to confront someone who's talking about you behind your back just because you've got something they can't have . I mean how low are they gonna put themselves just to hurt you or even take away your happiness.
When it comes to me, I just wanna kill somebody cause It sometimes hurts. I hate fighting with people and I'll always try to fix it.But there are just some people who just dont care I guess.

14th Mardi Grass in Ninbim

This was the first Mardi Grass that I've ever been to and let me just say words cannot describe the atmosphere nor the experience that I went through. First let me start by saying how beautiful the place was. Ninbim, the small town was surrounded by green hills, trees and flowers and ofcourse let me not forget the amazing mustangs that were just wondering through the forrest.

The only thing that really got to me was the weather. During the day it was so dame hot i just wanted to rip my clothes off. But once it hit 4.00pm, it just got freakishly cold. Since we are proffessoinal campers we had to do the whole shibang. We looked for wood, pitched the tents and and made alot of tuna and egg sandwiches.
The camp site was 5 minutes drive away from the town but we walked there and that felt like forever.
The town and people were in a different time zone from the rest of the world. There was no network and no sky scrappers.
It was this really small town that dedicated everything they had to WEED! Everyone was so high and laid back even the cops were freakin stoned.
They had a festival to raise money to save nimbin since a rumor has it that the government is taking the land back after a 99 year contract expired. They had a rave but i didnt go to that. I have no idea what they are called but there were those fire juggler dudes that were in the middle of the street dancing with fire. It was amazing!

There were thousands of people there and some of them drove 20 hours all the way from sydney for this event and im sure thats a trip they'll never forget.
The next day, at the crack of dawn, we walked back to the town to see if anything was going on. They had a hippie comedy show that was based on medevil times. Everyone was laughing their asses off but to be honest, It wasnt that funny. I guess when your so baked you'll laugh at anything.

There was this one guy who broke his neck and had a cast from the top of his head attached to his shoulders. He was tripping off E and was walking around like nothing had happen to him. I guess he wasnt going to miss it for the world even if had broken both his legs.He would have still gone.
I also went to "Nimbin Museum" which was quite interesting.(if you would like to see more pics just let me know and i'll post them)

It was just junk, put together to look like art. Imagine the 70's crammed into one tiny room. All the VW waggons were painted and poetry was hng on the wall.
From my experience being there for the first time and even though i had a blast. I'd have to say i dont think i would go there again. Why you ask? because its so alienated and so detached from the rest of the world. People there are still stuck in the 70's.
But if you live in Australia and havent been to Nimbin before. I suggust you check it out. Its a place that you need to see at once in your life. The atmosphere is filled with peace and love ... and loads of drugs.
All in all, it was weekend spent well.
